Hotel Guest Room Radar Sensor Features and Applications

In modern smart hotel design, intelligent sensing technology has become a key solution to improve guest experience, reduce energy consumption, and simplify hotel operation. Our radar sensor solutions help hotels achieve automatic control, safe operation, and efficient energy management with reliable, cutting-edge technology.

Features

  1. Motion State Detection
Using 60GHz millimeter-wave radar technology, the sensor accurately identifies moving objects in guest rooms, corridors and other areas.
  2. High Sensitivity to Moving Targets
The sensor can penetrate non-metallic materials such as plastic and glass, while static objects are filtered to prevent false triggers.
  3. AC and DC Support
  • AC version with built-in 10A relay, can directly control lighting, air conditioning and other equipment without extra contactors.
  • Isolated low-voltage communication with RS485 bus fully isolated from AC power, ensuring data safety in compliance with IEC 62368-1.

Applications

  1. Corridors and Bathrooms
Automatically turns on lights when movement is detected and switches off after people leave, for high energy savings.
  2. Elevator Control
Wakes up the elevator in advance when people approach the elevator area.
  3. Security Alarm
Monitors and alerts for unauthorized intrusion in restricted zones.
  4. Card-Free Hotel Rooms
Automatically powers on the room when occupancy is detected, and delays power off after the room is empty.

Advantages

Fast response, low cost, and high stability. Effectively avoids false triggers from non-human movements such as windblown curtains.
